FAQ

Frequently-Asked Questions

How long is a session?

Sessions typically last about an hour. Occasionally, they may run slightly over, but I aim to stay within the time frame.

How should I dress?

Dress comfortably. I recommend a light layer, like a t-shirt, as the analyst cape will add an extra layer. If you get cold easily, bring a separate jacket. Please avoid wearing hoods, as they are difficult to manage with the cape.

Additional notes:

·        No fragrance or perfume

·        No colored contact lenses

·        Remove makeup ahead of time

·        No fake tanning products (regular sun exposure is fine)

Can I come wearing makeup?

Please arrive without makeup. If necessary, we can remove it at the appointment, but it's best to come makeup-free so your skin can settle for accurate results. Also, avoid fake tanning products and tanning (or sunburns) within 48 hours of your appointment.

What if I color my hair? What if it's gray?

For colored or highlighted hair, we use a cap to cover the color during the analysis—don’t worry, we’ll remove it afterward! Gray hair is perfectly fine; come as you are!

Can I bring children with me?

This session is all about YOU. Enjoy your "me" time and let’s focus entirely on you. Please arrange alternative care for small children during our time together. Thank you!

Will I need to be analyzed later in life?

No, this system lasts for life! While hair and skin may change over time (like hair graying), your color palette/season remains the same.

What if I don't like my season / colors?

Every season is BEAUTIFUL! Come with an open heart and mind. The goal is to discover YOUR BEST COLORS, those that naturally harmonize with YOU. You might need to reevaluate prior conceptions about yourself and color, but once you see yourself in Your Best Colors, you’ll love them!

Will my season change with a tan?

No. Your season is determined by your skin's undertones, which do not change with a tan.

Do you offer consultations for men and/or children?

Yes! Youth Analysis (Ages 7-12) is available upon request, with the option to purchase a color fabric swatch book.

What is a color swatch book and how do I use it?

A color swatch book is a tool used primarily in design and fashion to present a selection of colors and shades in an organized manner. Your color swatch book contains fabric swatches of your season’s best colors. Bring it while shopping to quickly identify flattering colors and save time and money.

For patterned or multi-colored clothing: If the pattern includes at least 75% of your card’s colors, go for it!

Note: You can purchase the Color Swatch Book at a discount when scheduling your appointment, or at the regular price anytime after discovering your color palette.
